Teaching Assistant Position
50% FTE
NURS 304
A Teaching Assistant is needed to provide support for NURS 304: Human Responses I. This course examines normal and pathophysiological responses to states of health and illness. It also examines internal and external defense systems, balance and regulation of body systems, and integration of these concepts in the assessment and management of patient problems. NURS 304 meets from 9:30 to 11:20 on Thursdays, and 2:30 to 3:30 on Fridays. Instructors: Dr. Patricia A. Betrus and Dr. Susanna Cunningham
Roles and Responsibilities of the TA include:
- Must be able to attend most classes.
- Grading problem sets and other assignments (quizzes and two project papers)
- Taking answer sheets to upper campus for grading
- Course grading record-keeping
- Moodle website maintenance and support (posting of materials, etc)
- Course support activities such as communications with faculty, guest faculty, and students
- Tutor students weekly for one to two hours
- Run review sessions as needed
- Introduce and thank guest lecturer(s)
- Support technology applications for course
- Faculty support
- Other duties as needed
