Teaching Assistant Position 50% FTE
Fall Quarter 2012
Provide support for NMETH 527B/C: Introduction to Health Information. This course examines how informatics aids in the transformation of healthcare delivery and how to most effectively use the theories and best practices in informatics toward building and deploying informatics solutions. Class is entirely online.
Roles and Responsibilities of the TA include:
- Posting and updating course material on the course web page
- Assistance in grading papers, tests and class assignments
- Duplication and distribution of educational material
- Assistance in course preparation including developing syllabus and identifying pertinent readings
- Assistance in tracking student assignments, attendance and other matters related to administrative tasks
- Assistance in obtaining audiovisual equipment and materials as necessary for classroom instruction
- Providing assistance and advisement for students as necessary
- Other duties as assigned when needed
