KCNA is proud to help ensure the future of nursing in our community by offering scholarships to deserving nursing students who attend school (or have a permanent address) in King County. In May, KCNA will award 12 scholarships of $2500 each to nursing students for the 2012-13 academic year. Three classifications of student are served:
- basic (those seeking initial licensure as RNs)
- diploma nurses who are returning to earn Bachelor’s Degrees
- nurses who are pursuing advanced degrees in nursing or related fields.
To be eligible, the student must attend an accredited nursing school and have a GPA of 3.0 or greater. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic performance, community service, and involvement in school or professional activities.
