TA Position - NURS 404

TA 50% Position Spring 2012

A Teaching Assistant is needed in the Department of Biobehavioral Nursing and Health Systems to provide support for NURS 404: Gerontological Nursing. This undergraduate course provides our students with theoretical and practical information relevant to the nursing care of older adults across the continuum of care and is scheduled from Mondays from 8:30-10:20AM in Genome Sciences 060.

Roles and Responsibilities of the TA include:
  • Working with the instructor to provide assistance and support with class and course materials
  • Web site maintenance and support
  • Attendance during regularly scheduled class time (Mondays 8:30-10:20A)
  • Assisting with small group discussions and activities during class
Qualifications:
  • Must be Nursing Graduate Student in good standing.
  • Recent experience in adult nursing required; strong geriatrics/gerontology background preferred
  • Must have strong Word, Excel and web (Moodle) skills
  • Expertise or interest in working with undergraduate nursing students
  • Teaching experience preferred
